Mater Dei offers a comprehensive academic program with over 95% of its students going on to college. The Indiana Department of Education has recognized the school as a "Four Star School" and "A" school. Additionally, the administration implemented a Bring Your Own Device program in 2018 which integrates technology throughout the curriculum.
Students have over 50 opportunities to participate in extracurricular programs including but not limited to: athletics, theater, music, speech, dance, supermileage team, and numerous other clubs and organizations. Athletic and extracurricular programs have won numerous state championships, including boys basketball, girls basketball, football, baseball, girls soccer, softball, wrestling, and speech.
